Members of the public who wish to speak on a matter before Orlando City Council must submit a written request to the City Clerk’s Office. The final vote on Ordinance 2026-18 is scheduled for June 22, 2026.

Consent Agenda Item

Council meets before the Council meeting to review the upcoming agenda. The Agenda Review meeting is the designated time for public input on Consent Agenda Items A–L and Items 4–6 (CRA/NID/OPEB). You may speak once and address all your remarks about those items. Only live in-person comments or written comments submitted in advance are accepted. Requests to speak are due by 9 a.m. on the meeting day.

Public Hearing

Your comment must relate to a public hearing identified on the agenda. It may be delivered during Council’s discussion of that specific agenda item. Only live in-person comments or written comments submitted in advance are accepted.

General Appearance

Matters pertinent to the city that are not tied to a specific agenda item may be raised during General Appearances. Only live in-person comments or written comments submitted in advance are accepted. Requests are due by 9 a.m. on the meeting day. Comments are limited to three minutes, although Council may reduce the time when many people request to speak.

Live public comment

What to expect at the microphone.

Council hears non-repetitive comments on Consent Agenda Items and Public Hearings. When recognized, state your name and address; a business or residential street name is acceptable.

Direct all remarks to Council and keep comments within three minutes per item, or the time set by Council. Large groups are asked to select a spokesperson.

Under Robert’s Rules of Order, if you yield the floor before your time expires, the remaining time is waived.

Attend in person

Council Chambers at City Hall.

The Council meeting will be conducted in Council Chambers at 400 South Orange Avenue. Visitors must follow all posted instructions while inside a city facility.
